Kent Municipal Court, Ohio Warrant Search

The Rules of Superintendence for the Courts of Ohio, which govern public access to Ohio court records, provides the general framework for accessing warrants maintained as court records by the Portage County Municipal Court (Kent Branch), or Kent Municipal Court.

Warrants issued by the court are presumed to be open to the public. However, not every warrant is available for public inspection by default. Access may be restricted when a warrant is confidential, sealed, or otherwise subject to legal restrictions. Warrants associated with expunged records may likewise no longer be available for public inspection.

Warrant inquiries can be directed to the issuing court or local police agencies such as the Kent Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff's Office. Inquirers can call the county's Warrant Division at (330) 297-3888 for inquiries regarding warrants issued by the Kent Municipal Court.
